6A – Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends

6A – Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends

economic trends opportunity
-        US interest rates on the rise
Leads to belief: I believe that due to inflation, people with low income will not be able to support themselves or their families.
Customer: The lower-middle class and are poor.
Difficulty: I think that this will be hard to exploit since changing the economy is something an individual can rarely do alone.
Reason for formation: I formed this belief because I have constant fear of not being able to afford the lifestyle I desire.

-        Health care remains healthy
Leads to belief: I believe that because the baby boomers generation is getting older more people will need more medications and health treatments, it is possible to take advantage of that.
Costumer: both the people who need treatments and the hospitals themselves who will be busier.
Difficulty: I think that this will be hard to exploit since the medical industry is very competitive.
Reason for formation: I formed this belief because I used to be treated for my asthma constantly as a child and I know that there is a lot of money involved.

regulatory changes opportunity

-        Rolling back regulations
Leads to belief: I believe that because Donald trump is not paying attention to the health and sciences the earth and its inhabitants both suffer.
Customers: the people who suffer most from this are all of earths population.
Difficulty: I think that although changing the president’s opinion is not an easy feat, with enough protesting and work a change can be done.
Reason for formation: I formed this belief because I’m an avid admirer of mother nature.

-        Net neutrality deregulation
Leads to belief: because people might be forced to switch to different service providers base on where they live.
Costumer: people using any service based device.
Difficulty: I think that it is very difficult because finding a loophole in a bill is something that takes a lot of effort.

Reasons for formation: I think that a lot of people realized that there might be a problem that can be exploited but many gave up because of its difficulty.

  1. Uri,
You made some very good points about the economy. Medicine and medical treatment in the US is extremely expensive, and I wonder if medicines could be cheaper. In terms of regulation, abandoning environmental protections in exchange for financial gains is very reckless of the US government, because they should be in the business of maintaining good living conditions for citizens more than 100 years down the road. Perhaps the most important takeaway is that entrepreneurs have to find ways to act in the benefit of society regardless of the current administration’s views. For example, keeping net neutrality and environmental protections require both lobbying and aiding non-governmental organizations and individuals.

  2. Hi Uri! Your post was thoughtful, well organized and easy to read. I would suggest however proof reading more thoroughly. To help myself with this issue I type all of my posts in Word first, which helps find grammatical errors, then proof read for something it didn’t pick up, then copy and paste into Blogger. I find Blogger harder to use, format text, etc. than Word.
