23A – Your Venture’s Unfair Advantage
-
My age.
Time is the most valuable thing in this world.
By having a plan for a business early in life I can increase my chances of success.
Other people can’t change their age and therefore can’t be younger od older
than they are at that specific time. Time is the most significant factor
and with time comes improvement.
-
Computer programming.
Every passing day the world we live in
becomes more computer reliant. By preparing myself to the world of tomorrow I increase
my chances of success. This set of skills is not something everyone possesses and
will take time and dedication for people to acquire.
-
Social
skills.
I am a very social person which helps me get
assistance from others when needed. This is a skill that is wither innate or
very hard to perfect and can be utilized to many situations.
-
bilingual.
I am proficient in both Hebrew and English allowing
me to connect to more people on a more fundamental level. I have a 20 years’
experience speaking both languages which makes it very hard for other people to
have my bilingual abilities.
-
military
leadership experience.
After serving in the army as a medic and commanding
over a group of people I have acquired leadership skills that I will use for
the rest of my life. Most people did not have the opportunity to do what I did
which made me into the person that I am today.
-
valuing
persistence.
I have a diagnosed ADHD. My disorder held me
back and demanded me to work harder than most people in order to get to the
place I am today. Me experiences with perseverance made me appreciate hard work.
-
determination.
While most people in college are in it for the
unforgettable experience, I see this time as an opportunity to create something
great. This type of mindset might relate to the fact that I have served in the
army before college.
-
family.
My family will always support in my endeavors.
They are willing to help me every step on the way to success. Having such a big
support from your family gives you the ability to think freely and become the person
you want to be.
In my opinion my most valuable skillset is
being social. It will allow me to create a better business in the future.
Hi Uri,
ReplyDeleteWe are both bilingual at a deep level and understand the advantages. We are different in the aspect that we speak different languages and are able to reach 2 different audiences. I believe this explains that you have concrete advantages over me and others in being able to reach certain demographics. I think your resources fit very well together. It’s awesome that you served in the army. You have a very appealing set of skills. You also kept the list concise which made it easy to read. Good job!
Uri, while I do not speak two languages, I know the benefits that being bilingual can bring. Speaking Hebrew can bring you some connections to people in the Jewish community that others would not be able to have. Aside from that, being in the military will bring you a huge advantage in leadership as well as determination. My father who was also in the military showed these attributes. Great work though.
